Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery is the oldest in Singapore and is the only monastery in Singapore to receive status as a national monument for its historical and architectural value. The outstanding buildings were constructed in the late 1800s and early 1900s in a unique blend of architectural styles that reflected the Chinese immigrants of Singapore at the time.
