Lord Buddha categorized human into four types

1. Those that come to the world from darkness and depart the world to darkness. This type of people came from a realm which is lower than human realm. Their soul are full of anger and greed. They born into poverty and cruelty. All their lives they have to compete and fight for survival. They would depart back to darker realm such as hungry ghost realm or hell for example. 2. Those that come from dark realm but depart to brighter realm. They born into poverty but with the right mind they try to walk the right paths and become successful in life. Then they help others and live life with good moral. When the life ends, they will depart to brighter realm. 3. Those that come from bright realm but depart to a darker realm. These people born with money and power but misuse them led by greed, lust and anger. All their lives try to compete with others and take advantage in all situations. They will leave this life to a darker realm. 4. Those that come from bright realm and depart to bright or brighter realm. These people born into life with money, power, and the right mind. They help others and live life by high morals conduct. They try to heal the world with good intention. These people will depart from human realm to bright or brighter realm.
